6 weeks (and 1 day)

On Monday, we had to take Fidget to the doctor for her ears, so I also got an appoitment to see the doctor, as I was worried about the discharge that I had mistaken for my period. The doctor said congratulations and that there was nothing to be worried about. He worked out my due date as 1st October. Later when I got home I wanted to work out how many weeks I am, so I used a site on the web, which said my due date was 8th October, so who knows.

Anyway, I recon I am just past 6 weeks, so I took the first picture and weighed myself at 80.1kg. Don't really know the significance of the weight as I haven't weighed myself for ages, but I have probably lost some weight already as my old chum morning (and the rest of the day) sickness has arrived.

For breakfast I manage a couple of peices of toast, very thinnly spread with jam, I am off milk, so no cereal or tea. I can sometimes stomach a peppermint tea, but really only drinking sparkling mineral water, or cola for a special occassion. I force down a small amount of whatever veggy thing they have at work, but if I have the choice it would be a cheese or egg or bacon sandwich with nothing else in it, and force down a bit of fruit. This time I have the advantage of being fairly certain I wont actually vomit, so I can push myself a bit further in the name of nutrition. Tea is pizza, shortly followed by a lie down and snooze on the sofa until bed time! I can't stand the thought of anything rich, spicey, windy veg, too sweet and particularly chocolate is turning my stomach!!

It is really draining, to be constantly so nauseous, but this time you can't stop and rest, as Fidget needs looking after and playing with, but she is great fun so it helps to take my mind off it and stop feeling sorry for myself.

I am looking forward to 12 weeks, the sickness last time was over by then and I started eating to really make up for lost time, I remember having much more energy.

On Monday night we also told the family (mums, dads, brothers, sisters only), everyone was really pleased for us. We will be keeping things under wraps until after M's sister's wedding, so I hope I still fit into my dress then.

I also told Naomi, as I wont be going to circuits any more, and told Mush this morning, which was cool. I cant really stand keeping it secret. I will see some more of the mummies this afternoon and Monday, so if they ask I will tell, I should think.
